Agentic At Large
Australia wants proof your AI safety process works, not just that it exists. A minister outlined a "systems regulation" model for frontier AI: firms would carry liability if their risk processes only live on paper. It's a proposal for now (standards by end of 2026, law in 2027), but the question is coming for everyone: can you show the owner and the record?
SailPoint shipped an AI-agent kill switch. It ends the session, not the goal. SailPoint's Navigate launches add agent discovery, runtime authorization and a kill switch. An analyst firm's caution is the real signal: ask whether runtime controls prevent the action or just detect it after the fact.
Anthropic's revenue run rate reportedly hit $65B, up from about $9B at the start of the year. Enterprises are buying agents faster than anyone predicted. Every one of those agents needs an identity, a permission set and an owner, and most companies have none of the three yet.
It's also the first thing attackers target. Most organizations are one compromised IdP away from total auth failure — and their AI agents make the blast radius 10x worse.
